We are arriving in Disneyworld in Late August. During our vacation, my husband and I are doing a date nite. While we are eating dinner, our girls (age 15 and 11) are staying at the resort. Are they allowed to eat at the resort table service without us?

    Hi Patricia!

This is a little tricky as there are many scenarios to consider. The minimum age to Enter a Park is 14 without adult escort. But to make a dining reservation you must be 18. If you call the Disney Dining group they will say that a person over 18 must accompany the children but many guests have done this in the past when they wish for an adult night out.

If you are comfortable with the 15 year old being responsible for dining and being independent at your resort while watching the 11 year old then I would escort them to the dining room and let the cast member and wait staff know that you will not be dining with them. If they are not ok with this then have the kids order room service and dine in the room for the evening. Either way your children will have a good meal and be at your resort while you have the date night out.

    Enjoy!
