We are arriving to Disneyland on Sunday but don't plan on hitting the parks until Monday. Can we buy our tickets at the entrance on Sunday but not "activate" them until Monday?

Hello, Diana! Hooray! You will soon be strolling down the charming Main Street, U.S.A. and taking in all the splendor that is the Disneyland Resort!

You can certainly buy your tickets on Sunday and not activate them until Monday. However, if you are purchasing a one-day ticket, you will need to discuss your situation with the Cast Member at the ticket booth. There are different prices for one-day tickets depending on if you are going to use your ticket on a peak, regular, or value day. If you are purchasing multi-day tickets, then those different pricing tiers don't apply.

You can also purchase your tickets online at least 24 hours in advance. You will select eTicket when you check out and you will receive a ticket voucher by email. You then take that voucher, either printed or on your mobile device, directly to the gates at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. The Cast Member will exchange your voucher for a standard paper ticket that you will use for the duration of your stay.

Finally, you can also purchase tickets using the official Disneyland app. You will show the ticket in the app at the gates to gain admission. The app will also be your best friend while you visit the parks. It will show you real time attraction wait times, FASTPASS return times currently being distributed, and you can use it to access your PhotoPass pictures and so much more.

Have a lovely visit to the Disneyland Resort!
