Hi Gina!
Isn't the Disney Vacation Club a wonderful way to "invest" in future fun at Walt Disney World! Our family has truly enjoyed everything about it since we joined in 2000. I know you must be excited as the date approaches ....it never gets old!
Here are some of the fun things "off the beaten path" that we enjoy doing with our two sons:
1. Pool hopping! One of the many advantages of the DVC! (free)
2. Miniature golf at Disney's Fantasia Gardens Course or at Disney's Winter Summerland Course.
3. Pony rides at the Tri-Circle-D Farm at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
4. Guided fishing excursions or fishing on your own (bamboo poles & bait available for rental) at Disney's Port Orleans Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground - catch & release only.
5. Downtown Disney area visit to the Lego Store and/or DisneyQuest, an indoor interactive theme park adventure.
6. Enjoy s'mores, singing, and a movie under the stars at the Campfire Sing-a-long with Chip & Dale at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. (free, with small charge for S'mores Kit, optional)
7. ESPN's Wide World of Sports - take a tour of the complex, or sign your son up for a special sports camp or academy.
8.
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage from Disney's Contemporary Resort over Seven Seas Lagoon.
I hope this list helps get you started on some exciting new adventures with your son. Have a magical vacation!
