Hi Jodi!
Walt Disney World has a lot of great places to eat, both inside and outside theme parks. Some guests on a Disney Dining Plan save a lot of money, some save only a little, and some actually spend more. You can get more information on the various dining plans
here. Unfortunately, I can't tell you if the Dining Plan would be a good choice for your party as I don't know what you like to eat, how often, etc. However, I can point you in the right direction. I suggest visiting the independent website AllEars.Net. The team at All Ears does a great job keeping their menus up to date. You can select some restaurants that look interesting and see how much it would cost to just order off the menu; then you can compare that to a dining plan.
Be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) as soon as possible. ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance at (407) WDW-DINE or online.
Below are some of my favorite Table Service restaurants at Walt Disney World:
- Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern
- Epcot: Le Cellier Steakhouse, Biergarten, Chefs de France
- Disney's Hollywood Studios: Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater (*)
- Disney's Animal Kingdom: Tusker House, Yak and Yeti
- Resorts: Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge, 'Ohana in the Polynesian, Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club, Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary, Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Downtown Disney: Raglan Road
(*) The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is great for the atmosphere, but has a very limited menu. I suggest looking at the menu at AllEars.Net to see if it offers anything you would enjoy.
Have a magical vacation!
