We will be arriving at Disney Wold on April 23, 2017. I would like to make reservations to eat and watch the fireworks. What time should I make the reservation for at California Grill? Is there certain tables that I could request with better views?

    Hi Carrie,

What a way to kick off your Walt Disney World vacation! On the day of your arrival, Wishes is scheduled for 9 p.m., so if you hope to be in the midst of your meal during the fireworks show, I would try for a reservation somewhere between 8 and 8:30 p.m. The fireworks are visible from most places inside the restaurant, and there are three outdoor viewing areas, so no matter where you are seated, even if it is not at one of the highly coveted window tables, you will be able to have a great view. The servers are masterful at timing the delivery of your food so that it doesn't get cold while you watch Wishes.

Here's another option you might want to consider: If you dine earlier in the evening, you can re-enter California Grill to watch Wishes from one of the outdoor decks. So don't worry if you can't find a later advanced dining reservation. You can always eat earlier, stroll around the Contemporary resort for a while and then return to the top of the hotel for a spectacular view of the fireworks.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Carrie! Please let us know if we can assist in any other way as you make your plans. We love making recommendations for dining and attractions.

    Enjoy your visit,
