    We are arriving at Disney and going to a water park our first day before checking into our hotel. Will checking in online activate our wrist bands so that we can make purchases at Typhoon Lagoon without actually having been to our hotel yet?

    Cowabunga, Karen! Welcome back!

    Starting your magical vacation off with a splash-tastic day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is a totally tubular plan. You can also head straight there upon arrival without checking into your Walt Disney World® Resort hotel first, here's how:

    • 60 days prior to your arrival you may begin the Online Check-In process through your My Disney Experience Account on the Walt Disney World® Resort website. 

    • While completing online check-in you'll have the option of linking a credit card to your account and MagicBand to cover your incidentals. As long as a valid credit card is "linked" to your account, you are all set to begin enjoying your day. 

    The best part, with online check-in, you'll have the option of being notified via text message and email when your Resort hotel room is ready for you. This makes enjoying your time at Typhoon Lagoon stress-free from wondering about your room. 

    While you're there, don't forget to try Miss Adventure Falls, Typhoon Lagoon's newest family-friendly raft ride. What's cool about this attraction is being able to ride the raft up the conveyor belt - my children loved that part. Another tip: as a guest of a Walt Disney World® Resort hotel, you're entitled to free towel rentals with just a scan of your valid MagicBand.
