Arriving in Disney on 04/22/13 @ 3 pm, isit worth it to have dining & park pass for that day? Staying at A&A. Where would u suggest having dinner that evening? 1st trip to Disney with our 6 year old.

Hi Uriel! How exciting to be planning for your first visit with your six year old to Walt Disney World this spring.

Unless there is something very special happening in the parks I would consider not buying a park ticket for your first day.  I suggest to guests that they use this time to unpack and organize and get to know your resort. The Art of Animation is the newest Disney resorts and is full of fun things to see and do. Take time to enjoy the pools and decor.

This will also give you an opportunity to head to Downtown Disney for dinner. There will be buses going from your resort every twenty minutes and there are many great spots to dine. T-Rex is a favorite with the children where they will see large animated dinosaurs near the tables. There is also a Rain Forest Cafe which is a similar concept with animals and other animation constantly happening. You can then visit the many shops and enjoy some of the street entertainers. Splitsville is a new bowling facility that is opening soon and there is a great AMC movie theater there as well so you can see there is an abundant of things to keep you busy on your first evening.

Get plenty of rest and head to parks early the next day when you are fresh and ready to go!
