Hi we will be arriving in Disney on November 11th. I would really like to go to the Very Merry Christmas Party that evening. We have a 1 and a 2 year old. Do you think it is worth the extra money to take them?

    Hi Kim,

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a ton of fun! The first time my wife and I had the chance to experience this event, it was clear to us that it was going to be an annual tradition for our family.

While the decorations around the Magic Kingdom are really incredible this time of year, there's one special touch that only happens during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - it snows on Main Street, U.S.A.! With all of the lights, decorations, and music, it's really an awesome sight to see.

While there are so many special experiences that are offered at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, one really knocked my socks off last year...the meet-and-greet with Santa Claus in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. This may sound crazy, but I feel like this experience was worth the price of admission alone!

Last year was the first time we tried this, so I was expecting a normal meet-and-greet with Santa like we've been used to when he stops by our local shopping mall.

    NOPE!

This experience was way different because Santa didn't appear to be on a time crunch. Instead, he hung out with us and told some really awesome stories. In fact, he told my daughter the story about why he always wears the ball on his cap on the left side of his head. She absolutely loved that time with him.

While we might pop in to a few attractions along the way, we tend to meander around and experience the special shows, dance parties, and even snag some cookies and hot cocoa. As a parent of a preschooler and a toddler, I have no hesitation in recommending this event to you and your family. You'll have a blast!

Here's a piece of good news from your buddy Derek:

Since your youngsters are under the age of 3, they'll be able to enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party free of charge!!

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation!

    Best regards,
    Derek
