Your stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is super close, and I love that you are planning out your exercise options in advance! As someone that has run many, many miles through "The Most Magical Place on Earth," I think the extra "pixie dust" helps the time fly by!
At your Disney Resort hotel, you will find a
gorgeous jogging path that runs alongside the Sassagoula River. It is dreamy! You can run the 1-mile loop at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside only, or you can also include the out-and-back extension of the path through
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for a total of approximately 1.7 miles. To view the exact path, look for a sign that says, "New Balance Running Trail."
There is not a gym located at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, but I have seen a Beignet Dash take place on Sunday mornings. It is a short race but comes with a reward of beignets! I recommend asking if this is taking place during your visit once you arrive. If you visit the playgrounds in the morning, they are usually pretty empty and can provide some space for you to do a few body weight exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups, planks, etc. There are also some grassy areas you can utilize.
There are a few other exercise options to consider, as well.
Poolside Yoga typically takes place on Monday and Friday mornings at 8:15 A.M. and is complimentary! For a little extra cross-training, bike rentals are also available at your
Disney Resort hotel.
