Arriving at Disney on Monday (YAY!!!!) staying at AOA. Considering it's just my daughter and I coming to celebrate her bday, I don't think I need double beds. How do I request a room with just one bed?

    Hi, Cartier!

I am sure Monday cannot get here soon enough! It is so exciting when your magical vacation is just days away.

There are some rooms at Art of Animation that have one king bed in lieu of two double beds. However, these are much less common with the majority having the two beds.  If you prefer the king bed, you can try calling the resort directly to let them know your preference or you can even just drop them a quick fax.  You can also mention it at check-in but I am guessing that during a busy time like August that rooms will be booked to capacity with few room changes.

If your reservation is for two doubles, that is probably the room type you can expect at check-in.  I think it will be perfect.  After longs days in the parks, you can each plop into your own bed and stretch out and dream magical dreams!

Have a wonderful vacation full of fun and fantasy and wishing your princess a very Happy Birthday!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
