Arriving at Disney 5/5 and leaving 5/12, Not able to stay on Disney (renting a family home). What is the best way to get around the parks and what is Downtown Disney about ( do you need entrance fee, use your park pass?)

Hi Kristyn - you can take Disney transportation around to the different parks.  Monorails serve Epcot to the Magic Kingdom (and the reverse), buses serve the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom to the other parks, and you can travel by boat between Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  You can also drive to all of the parks.

Downtown Disney is lots of fun - there are restaurants and shops, as well as some entertainment venues.  You can walk around without a ticket, although you would need a ticket to access DisneyQuest.  In addition, some places, like the movie theater, have a separate admission.

Hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
