Hi Constance!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. With your trip just around the corner, I’m sure you and your family are having dreams of Main Street, U.S.A.
I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter’s torn ACL. I tore my ACL in high school, and I remember how much fun that was. Hopefully, a little Disney magic will help chEAR her up.
Walt Disney World Resort offers
wheelchairs and
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) Rentals to Guests experiencing mobility issues on a first-come, first-serve basis for a daily fee. I would highly suggest getting to the theme parks early to ensure that you can get whichever option you prefer. Please note that your daughter must be 18 years or older to operate an ECV. For more information on the accessibility access for each of the attractions, you can check out this handy page on the
Walt Disney World website. There are quite a few attractions that your daughter will be able to remain in the wheelchair or ECV during, including some of my favorites like
Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom Park and the newly revitalized
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope your daughter has a magical trip and that a little bit of pixie dust will help her feel better soon.
Let me know if you have any additional questions in preparation for your trip. If you would like to speak to someone in Disability Services, you can reach out to them at (407)-560-2547 or via email at
disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Have a Magical Day!
