Hi I will be arriving at Disney on Feb 2 with my family I was told that there is a place that you can pick out a pearl and have it placed in a piece of jewelry if this is true where would it be? thank you. It would be a great keep sake for my mother

    Hi, Shelley!

You certainly "Pick a Pearl" when visiting Japan in Epcot.  You will get to select an oyster from one of the tanks.  A lovely cast member will open the oyster and clean and measure your precious pearl. You can choose to take it home as a "loose" pearl or have it set into a lovely piece of jewelery.   I believe the cost of the pearl is about $20, then add on any setting you might purchase.

What a great idea for a souvenir for your mom!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
