We will be arriving in Dec for our visit. We originally booked everything for 4 and now my nephew will be joining us. I just had weight loss surgery and am wondering if my wife and I could share meals rather than purchase another plan.

    Hi Daniel,

You will just love visiting Walt Disney World during the Holidays!  The theme parks and resorts are decorated so beautifully that you just can't help being in the Christmas spirit.  How wonderful that your nephew will be joining you on your vacation.  Congratulations on your recent weight loss, Daniel!  I can understand being cautious about eating at Walt Disney World.  Unfortunately, you and your wife are not allowed to share a meal on the Disney Dining Plan.  Depending on your package, you may be able to not be on the plan at all and order an appetizer and/or salad instead of an entree.  If all of your party has to be on the Disney Dining Plan when you add on your nephew, I would recommend your biggest meal for a late lunch this way you are not eating heavy late at night.  You will be surprised at home much walking you will do on your vacation.  Last month when my family went to Disney, we averaged six to eight mile a day based on my pedometer!  This will allow you to splurge a little if you want.   There are also work out rooms at every resort if you would like to exercise in a gym-like setting.  I know your vacation in December will be just magical, Daniel!
