We are arriving 1 day before our reservation to our resort. Is it possible to get a one night stay at a different resort upon arrival without a reservation? Thanks!

    Hi Jackie!

Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're excited that you're returning to Walt Disney World Resort, and so soon! A lot has changed since your last visit, like the opening of the brand new Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I hope you're ready to Play Big in Andy's backyard!

Theoretically yes, it is possible to get a one-night, room-only Disney Resort Hotel reservation with short notice. My husband is in the Air Force and we booked a super last minute Disney trip a few years ago. He had just returned home from a deployment and we weren't sure how tired or jet lagged he was going to be to schedule a vacation in advance. We ended up calling at 10 P.M. on a Thursday night to book our room, left our house Friday morning, checked-in that evening, and were enjoying fireworks at Epcot 23 hours after we booked our room!

There are over 23,000 individual resort hotel rooms at Walt Disney World Resort, so chances are good that you'll find a bed for your head for the one night before your main vacation reservation. September is a pretty popular time to visit, with both the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival as well as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in full swing. I'd hate for you to have to bounce between a few hotels in person before you find one that has availability, especially if you don't have a car, so it's best to call the Walt Disney World Reservation Line at (407) 939-1936 to book a room before you arrive.

We'll See You Real Soon, Jackie!
