arriving a day early than my reservation staying at local hotel for the nite will they allow me to visit the resort im going to stay in to look around would like to get afill of the movies resort

Hi Scott! You are more then welcome to go and visit your resort the day before you check-in. In fact I think that is a great idea to get the lay of the land so you don't waste time when you do arrive. Find the location of the pools and food courts and everything else. Of course you won't know which section you will be in but it is fun to see all the possibilities. You will need to let the guard station know you are there to simply look at the resort and give identification for entrance. You shouldn't have any trouble but things change daily at Disney so can't totally predict if rules change as well.  Have  a super time!
