Hi Tyneisa,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us another great question!
We often fly to a cruise port the day before we’re scheduled to set sail, too! It really does give me peace of mind to know that we aren’t scrambling at the last minute to deal with flight cancellations and other travel woes – I find that extra day really starts our vacation off on the right foot.
When we sail out of
Port Canaveral, we typically stay at the Hyatt Regency at Orlando International Airport as well. It’s so convenient to go directly from the plane to a nice, cozy hotel room! As for ground transfers, lots of Guests choose to stay at the Hyatt, so Disney Cruise Line has found a way to make the entire process seamless! If you’ve purchased
Ground Transportation to the Port from Disney, all you need to do is contact them (I recommend doing so
by email) to let them know that you’ll be staying at the Hyatt. They’ll arrange for your transfer to Port the following morning, with little fuss. Your bus should be at some point between 9:00 AM and 1:15 PM, depending on your Port Arrival Time.
Speaking of that arrival time, you’ll be able to get that time once your Online Check-In is complete, regardless of your flight details. Just make sure that you indicate that you’ll be using Ground Transportation from Orlando International Airport when it comes time to fill everything out.
Finally, if you have any last-minute questions on Embarkation Day, you’ll be able to visit the Disney Cruise Line hospitality desk, located directly in the Hyatt’s lobby from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
I hope my answer helps you plan a seamless and hassle-free start to your vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
