We will be arriving at the Carib Beach on 1/29. We have a standard rm. Which location would be best for a central location? And should we spend the extra $ for a Pirate room? We have a 6yr old. I want to surprise him!

    Hi Jessica!!

We absolutely love Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!!  It is definitely our favorite Moderate Resort on the Walt Disney World Property!!  You really feel like you are transported to the Caribbean!!

If you are interested in being in a central location, I would recommend that you request being either in the Martinique Village or the Trinidad North Village.  Please note that requests are not guaranteed and will be honored if possible.  These two Villages are closest to Old Port Royale, also referred to as Centertown.  Old Port Royale is home to the restaurants, shops, and feature pool.

If you have a few extra dollars that you can spend, I would highly recommend upgrading to a Pirate Room.  It is such an awesome experience and would be a cool treat for your six year old.  He would definitely be blown away by the room when he walked in not expecting it!

Please feel free to come back to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel with any future Disney Vacation Planning questions!!

I hope you have a magical trip!!
