Will be arriving on a bus from Port Canaveral. Where will the bus drop us off? Where can we find the transportation from the drop off to Animal Kingdom? Is it located outside of the gates to the park?

Hi there, Joyce! I'm so glad you visited the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

With so many terrific Disney vacation options out there, it can be hard to choose just one! Ursula was right when she said, "Life's full of tough choices, isn't it?" Luckily, with Port Canaveral just over an hour's drive away from The Most Magical Place on Earth, it's easy to make both a cruise and resort stay part of your Disney vacation. You've come to the right place for SEAking out tips!

Assuming you are going on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, you'll want to book transfers from Port Canaveral to your Walt Disney World Resort. If you've booked your cruise with a travel agent, ask your agent to do this for you. You can also make your transfer bookings online at, or by calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532. On the day of disembarkation, you'll collect your luggage before going through Customs and Immigration. Afterward, you'll board your Disney Cruise Line motorcoach to your Walt Disney World Resort.

In my experience, our ride from the port to our Walt Disney World Resort hotel took about 90 minutes. The motorcoach drops guests off in front of their Walt Disney World Resort hotel (in the same location as Disney's Magical Express). After collecting your luggage from your driver, I suggest stopping by the Bell Services Desk, which is usually located right outside the front door of the resort hotel lobby. They will be happy to hold your bags for you while you enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Ask them to direct you to the pick-up location for the Walt Disney World theme park buses (also conveniently located right outside the resort hotels). I appreciate that the resort bus stops all have monitors displaying the bus arrival times, which really helps when you're anxious to get to the Parks! The bus will drop you off at the bus stop at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, which is a short distance from the Park's gates (about a five-minute walk).

I hope this helps, Joyce! If there's anything else you need, remember we're all ears!

Meet the Panelist: Eean, Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Eean from Pennsylvania!  I may have an unusual name, but my passion for Disney is not unique.  It’s amazing how many people you can find who love talking about, "The Most Magical Place On Earth!"  I'm that mom who always has her ears perked at PTO meetings, in the grocery store aisle, or at middle school basketball games waiting for an opportunity to give someone a planning tip to help make their vacation even more magical.
