Arriving at Bay Lake Tower for our first DVC trip in 6 days! Can't wait. Just wondering where is the best place to go for a morning run? Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hi Kimberly,

I am so excited that you are taking your first Disney Vacation Club trip.  We love being members, and I know that you will as well.  I know that you will check into the Disney's Contemporary Resort and then head to Bay Lake Tower.  You will love the convenience of being on the Monorail.  Each night around 10:00 pm, the Electrical Water Pageant  can be seen from Bay Lake Towers as it floats on the Bay Lake. Unfortunately, there is no run right around Bay Lake Tower.  However, you can take the boat to Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Villas which will take you about 10 minutes.  There you can run from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The trail is about 2.5 miles roundtrip so you can easily get 5 miles in if you loop it.  I have not run at Ft. Wilderness, but I know it is very beautiful and wooded.  I use the website to help with where I am going to run at Disney.  They have all the running maps that you can get upon check-in to your resort.  Another DVC resort that I love running at is Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.  You can easily get 7-10 miles there with really no hills and all sidewalk running.  Remember you will log several miles by walking in the theme parks all day!  I hope you have a magical vacation, Kimberly.  Let me be the first to tell you Welcome Home!
