Arriving in Aug to AKL. I'm now worried about the construction w/my toddlers. Thought about a change to the Polynesian. Do I sacrifice the "animal experience" for "piece of mind"? We wouldn't be returning to nap.

I recently quizzed my son’s Scouting den leader and their family about the construction at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. They recently returned from staying in an Animal Kingdom Lodge villa. I asked if they heard, saw or were otherwise effected by any construction. The answer was a resounding “no”! In fact, they weren’t even aware that more construction was on-going.

I would simply request that you do not receive a room view of the new buildings being constructed. You will want to avoid the Sunset Savannah. There are plenty of other wonderful outlooks!

The villas in the main building, Jambo House, have now been completed.

However a change to the Polynesian would be just fine. The Polynesian is a beautiful resort and the proximity to the Magic Kingdom when traveling with toddlers is very convenient.
