Hi Moms! We will be arriving 8/27 around 3pm. Planning to do HS. I have read that that park can get very crowded, am worried about getting there and not being able to get in due to crowds. Is this something that happens often? Want to see Fantasmic! :)

Hi Chris!

Summer is definitely a busy time at Walt Disney World. That being said, the end of August is usually when the crowds start to taper off a small bit as some Florida schools resume prior to the Labor Day holiday. In my experience, I would say you shouldn't need to worry about the park reaching capacity at that time of year. If you go to the unofficial site TouringPlans.com, you can get a crowd calendar which will show you their predicted crowd levels for any date. We subscribe to their site and have always found it helpful. However, I would also have a "Plan B" in mind in case the crowds or weather do not cooperate on your arrival day. Do plan to line up for Fantasmic! at least 60-90 minutes prior to showtime.
