Hi Lesli,
What a great plan! Resort hopping is one of my family's favorite activities while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort too. It gives us an opportunity to explore the fabulously themed
Disney Resort Hotels to determine which one we'd like to book for our family's next Disney vacation.
You don't happen to mention where you'll be staying, but since your plan is to tour the monorail resorts, I expect your hotel reservation is for one them. Having said that, there are a couple of ways to reach
Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long from the monorail resorts via
Walt Disney World® Water Transportation. You may conclude the tour of the monorail resorts at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Then head down to the dock and board the "Blue Line" water launch, which runs between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The other option would be to ride the monorail to the Magic Kingdom theme park stop, and then take the boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground from there.
If you plan on staying to watch the movie at the Campground Cinema, I would recommend checking with the Front Desk at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground to find out when the last water launch of the evening will depart from their dock. If you miss the boat, don't worry! The buses are also available, and run up to one hour after park closing. Consequently, you can take the bus from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then catch the monorail back to your monorail home resort.
Have fun roasting those delicious s'mores and singing along with my family's favorite chipmunks!
