We will be arriving around 3:00 for our first day at Disney World. What park would be the best to visit for a short amount of time?

    Hi Andrea!

It is always exciting to arrive at Walt Disney World. Going under the welcome signs as you drive in will make anyone smile!

There are two things to consider about what to do when you arrive. You don't want to have to use a park ticket for only a couple of hours of fun so check the park hours for the day you arrive. See what park will be open the latest on that night. Many nights have Extra Magic Hours so they will remain open an extra two or three hours for resort guests. This would be an excellent choice for a park to visit that first evening.

The second thing to consider is where you are located. Are you close to a park at your resort? Some resorts are within walking distance and you won't be taking time on transportation to get there. Other resorts are quite far away and you will spend at least 30-45 minutes on the road!

I often suggest guests take their arrival day and relax and enjoy their resort. Unpack without stress and tour the resort facilities so you are aware of all that is offered. Traveling can be exhausting and you will want to start your first full day full of energy.  If you want to head somewhere special for dinner take this time to explore Disney Springs. This is an exciting new place at Walt Disney World and there are so many amazing restaurants and stores to experience.

Disney is full of magical choices which makes it even harder!
