Hi, i am arriving in april for 2 weeks with my kids, 7 and 5, we are very excited, help i do not know where to stay? we want to stay at a wdw resort to get all the benefits etc, which hotel is best? we also will want to have a few days chilling by the pool

    Hi Michelle,
    I feel your excitement!

The first place to start is to decide what type of hotel to stay at.  Disney has three levels of hotels:  value (least expensive), moderate and deluxe (most expensive).  All the hotels have different themes and feels to them.  Have a look at the links to see if any particular theme or price point appeals to you.

Every hotel has a great pool too.  If you are thinking of logging significant pool time, here is an overview of a few pools that our family thinks are awesome:

Pop Century Resort (Value) - the 'Hippy Dippy' pool has giant flowers that spray swimmers

Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate): this resort has a pool like a pirate fortress, with towers, cannons and a waterslide. If your kids are pirate fans, this resort even has some pirate-themed rooms!

Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate):  'Doubloon Lagoon' is the name of the pool area (which looks like a giant sea serpent).  You can slide down his tail and out of his mouth on his long tongue!

Yacht and Beach Club Resorts (Deluxe): Stormalong Bay, the pool complex, has a waterfall, a waterslide and a 'lazy river'.

I hope this helps get you started.  There are no bad choices!  Write back if you have any more questions.  Have a magical family vacation Michelle!
