We will be arriving at the Animal Kingdom Resort at around 2:30/3:00 on Saturday, March 3rd. What can we go see and do that would be convenient and fun for my 4 year old daughter before parks close, etc.?

    Hi, Kelly!

Hope you are getting all packed for your Walt Disney World vacation!  It's just a few days away!

On our first day, we like to take the time to settle into our resort, do some exploring, and maybe head to Downtown Disney.  At Downtown Disney, you will find some amazing shopping, wonderful restaurants, and it is a nice chance to get a touch of Disney Magic without getting over-tired in the parks.  With Little Miss Matched, Lego, and the World of Disney Store, your daughter will have a great time here!  A bus is available at your resort to transport you to Downtown Disney.

At your awesome resort, you might just want to take a dip in the beautiful pool or gaze out at the savannah.  There is a nice food court for a quick bite to eat if you have not made any Advance Dining Reservations.    The lobby itself is so amazing, take time to enjoy its splendor.

I would plan on an early night so your princess can get a good night's sleep and be ready for the parks bright and early the next morning.   You will be going non-stop for several days, so use your arrival day to get ready for the all the magic that is waiting for you!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
