Arriving @ airport @ 9:15am. Should we relax & enjoy the resort on arrival day or go to Epcot? Epcot does have EMH. If we do Epcot on arrival day, we will do a "down"day at resort later in the week. Or do Epcot later in the week & relax t

    Hi Marie:

It sounds like you have a great vacation coming up.

My family always relaxes the first arrival day at the Resort or at Downtown Disney.  We are usually exhausted from traveling and prefer to rest the first day before hitting the Parks on our second day

Depending on how long your trip is, I usually recommend taking it easy the first day.  I don't like to feel rushed on a travel day or use a Park ticket for less than a full day.  If you are traveling with older or younger party members, they may also feel better taking it easy that first day.  Especially at a park as big as Epcot.  However, if you feel energetic or your trip is short and you want to pack as much Park time in as possible, I would feel free to visit the Parks that first day.

    Enjoy your vacation.
