Hi! We're arriving on 5/12 and have ADR at Chef Mickey's at 8:30. Staying at POR. We have a car; what's the best way to get there? Also, is POR close enough to use Intl. Gateway at Epcot? It looks like it on the map. Thanks for all your help!

Hi Sara! Yum....Chef Mickey's is my favorite character dining experience and I love breakfast or dinner!  Since you have a car I would definitely drive to the Contemporary resort to reach this reservation.  It will be much quicker so you are using your time in the best way.  By car it is about a 13 minute trip and if you use the Disney transportation it will take you at least 35 minutes. You would have to catch the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take the monorail or walk over to the Contemporary from the park.  When you arrive at the entrance gate to the Contemporary please tell the guard that you are there for Chef Mickey and he will direct you to the parking area or the valet parking.  Valet parking is $12 a day. Just ask the cast at Port Orleans to give you a map showing the best way to reach the Contemporary resort from your location.

The maps can sometimes be a bit deceiving.  Port Orleans is not far from EPCOT but you would not be able to walk to this park from your resort.  You would still need to take your car or the Disney bus transportation.  Anyone can use the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT but the quickest way for you to reach this park would be via bus since you have a direct one from Port Orleans.
