    Hi, we arrive at WDW on 1-16-18, I would like to surprise my kids with their favorite color magic bands as a present. When do the bands show up in the My Disney Experience app so I can pick the colors and will we have them before Christmas? Thanks!

    Hello Kristin!
    I bet you are treating so excited for your January 2018 Walt Disney World vacation! To be able to customize your MagicBands that come complementary with your Walt Disney World Resort stay, you have to do a few things first. You will have to create a My Disney Experience Account if you do not have one already and then you have to link your park tickets to your My Disney Experience account (you will have to add your children to your My Disney Experience Account as well and anyone else that is traveling with you). Once you have your theme park tickets linked, then you can customize your MagicBands by choosing a color and nine character personalization which will be printed on the back of the MagicBand. Typically the MagicBands will be automatically mailed to you about a month before your Walt Disney World vacation is scheduled to begin which for you should be the week before Christmas. You will be asked to provide a mailing address when you customize your MagicBands and that will be the address that the MagicBands will be mailed to. You can always log on to My Disney Experience to check on the status of your MagicBands once you have customized them and you should receive a notification with a tracking number when the MagicBands ship. I hope that your January 2018 Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
