    Hi there. We arrive at WDW next week. I haven’t visited Florida at this time of year before, do I need to bring fly/bug deterrents with me or is this not a problem there? Thanks

    I am super jealous that you'll be visiting my favorite place on Earth next week! I am sure you are getting very excited about your adventure.

    To be honest, I have never really noticed insects being an issue during the summer months, but I realize that they are probably around. I don't get bitten easily (I guess I'm not sweet enough!), so they may be more of a problem for someone who does. However, Walt Disney World does provide complimentary insect repellant for all Guests. That link will provide more information and how to find it. 

    A few years ago, there was a Zika virus concern in Florida. You can find information about the Zika virus and how you can protect yourself at Walt Disney World here at this link.  Additionally, there is an extensive mosquito prevention and monitoring system throughout the property.
