Hi there, Ross,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney to request a recommendation. It’s a pleasure to help a fellow guest make the most of their time at The Happiest Place on Earth!
There are plenty of great
Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotels to choose from. But my number one recommendation for selecting a hotel near the Disneyland Resort is to choose one that is absolutely as close as possible. My family likes to take a break in the early afternoon. And being able to walk across the street to enjoy a nap or dip in the pool at our nearby hotel makes break time super convenient.
Since you will also need to transfer to your
Disneyland Resort Hotel, I recommend a location that is as close as possible to that side of the Disneyland Resort. The two Good Neighbor Hotels that are closest to
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are
The Westin Anaheim Resort and
Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn. With a hotel so close, you can easily walk your luggage a few steps up the street to Paradise Pier Hotel or take a
very short ride-share drive to continue with your Disneyland Resort adventure from your new hotel.
While I haven’t yet had an opportunity to stay at The Westin Anaheim Resort, I’ve walked by it many times and have been very intrigued by this upscale resort. My family and I have stayed at Best Western Plus Stovall’s Inn just before a stay at Paradise Pier Hotel. It is a budget-friendly hotel that we found comfortable and super convenient to cross the street in the morning to roll our baggage to our new temporary home in the Disneyland Resort.
Tony’s Tip: If you’re not already a morning person, you may wish to become one at least temporarily. I recommend checking in early on the morning of your first day at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. If you take your bags to the hotel bell services, they will gladly store your bags for you while you wait for your room to be ready. Then, you can walk across the street toward
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and continue to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. You can use your room key to enter the Grand Californian Hotel area to walk toward Disneyland Park. Or use the special entrance to Disney California Adventure Park that is exclusive to Guests of the Paradise Pier Hotel. Even on check-in day, you can use your Disneyland Resort Hotel benefits to enjoy
early entry at the theme parks!
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Ross!
