Hi, arrive on 11/28 @ 4:20 staying at YC. Planned to have counter service dinner at EPCOT, with the extended hours for MK should we go there instead? Have MK scheduled for full day on 11/30. This will be DD7's first visit!

    Hi Patty,

You must be so excited to take your daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time!  I'm sure she's counting down the minutes!

Since your arrival date falls on a holiday weekend and there are extended hours at Magic Kingdom, I'm sure the park will be super crowded that night.  I would stick to the original plan of dining at Epcot.  You'll be able to take a nice walk to the park, have dinner and stroll through the World Showcase.  Then end your evening by watching Illuminations.  Afterwards, you won't have to fight the crowds waiting for a bus back to your resort.  It sounds like a perfect, relaxing way to start your Disney vacation.

By Monday morning, many guests will be returning home, and you should be able to really enjoy your day in the Magic Kingdom.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
