    If you arrive at the resort early on the day of your check in, is there a placed to store your luggage while your room is being prepared so you can go to the parks?

    Hi Shannon! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking such an awesome question.

    I simply cannot wait to jump into the fun on any Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I almost always book a flight at the crack of dawn (much to the chagrin of my sleepy-eyed family) to arrive as early as possible. Because of this, I have a lot of experience with an early Disney Resort hotel arrival.

    Shannon, I am happy to share that you can most definitely drop your bags off with Bell Services, who will safely store them for you until you are ready to head up to your room. When you arrive, they will take your name and give you a ticket to claim your bags later in the day. Then, you are free to head off and enjoy your day of fun and adventure! I have used this service many times and can tell you that the Cast Members in Bell Services are always wonderful and will take great care of your belongings.

    If you are like me and love to head right to the parks, you may want to consider taking advantage of the awesome Direct-to-Room Service available in the My Disney Experience app. This service allows you to skip check-in at the front desk and head right to your Disney Resort hotel room as soon as it is ready! Isn’t that awesome?

    You’ll just want to make sure that you complete the Online Check-In Service steps available in the My Disney Experience app before your arrival. On the day of your scheduled Check-In, you will get a notification when your room is ready, along with your room number and the ability to unlock your door using either the My Disney Experience app or your MagicBand.

    I used this service on a recent visit to Walt Disney World and can tell you it was awesome to be able to enjoy some time in the parks and head right up to my room later in the evening. I sure was exhausted after such a long day, so being able to skip the check-in line was a huge bonus!

    I am sure you will have the most wonderful vacation, especially if you are visiting during The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. What an amazing time to experience the magic!
