If I arrive before resort check-in time, will I be able to park at the resort and take Disney transportation to the theme parks to get started on my vacation?

Hi, Emily, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Let's help you get your Walt Disney World Resort vacation started from the second you arrive!

My family lives about an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so most of our visits are day trips, but we also love spending long weekends at the Most Magical Place on Earth with a stay in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. And let me tell you, when we have a stay planned, we can't wait to get there and get started on the fun! We almost always arrive super-early, so our room often isn't quite ready yet. But the Disney magic starts right from the start of your vacation, Emily! I can tell you from experience, if your room isn't ready when you get there, you can absolutely leave your car at your Resort hotel and hop aboard Disney transportation to start having fun in the Theme Parks!

Emily, you're considered a Guest of Mickey Mouse from your very first day at the Walt Disney World Resort, so you get all the benefits right off the bat. If you decide not to wait on the bus and you want to drive to the Theme Parks, you'll have complimentary parking at the Parks all day. Once you've checked in, you can start using your MagicBands for meals and merchandise. And of course, you can take a dip in your Resort hotel pool if you like. Just make sure your swimsuit is close by for that one!

I hope this helps you plan a magical adventure from the very start of your vacation, Emily. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
