If I arrive at the resort at 11am but check-in is not until 3pm is there a way I can at least check-in to activate the Disney dining plan so I can go have lunch while waiting for my room to be ready?

    Hi Dountray!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love how you are planning to maximize every moment you have while at Walt Disney World Resort!

Great news! You absolutely can use your Disney Dining Plan to enjoy the restaurants prior to your room being available.

If you have not already done so, be sure to take advantage of online check-in. Guests can complete their online check-in up until the day before they arrive.  Online check-in is wonderful! It's also very easy to do. Simply sign in to your My Disney Experience account. You will see your upcoming reservation. Click to check-in online. Here, you can typically customize your MagicBand. If you have not yet linked your Disney Resort hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account, you will need to do that first. Your My Disney Experience account will easily walk you through the online check-in process. You will enter information including preferred mode of message delivery during your vacation, credit card information, Resort hotel arrival time, room location requests, account PIN (to be used for room charges), and your address. Once you have confirmed the information and agree to the terms and conditions, you will be checked in on-line.

When you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel, if you have your MagicBand, you can skip the front desk and head straight to your room once it is available. Even though you can skip the front desk, I always like to stop by and pick up my Welcome Packet.

Until your room is ready, you are welcome to enjoy your Disney Resort Hotel amenities. Many Guests also use their arrival date to visit Disney Springs or pop over to a theme park. With the convenience of My Disney Experience and online check-in, you can enjoy your day to the fullest and then head over to your room later in the day.

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
