Aloha, Danielle!
I'm absolutely delighted that you've stopped by planDisney with a question about my very favorite Disney destination,
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. I mean, what's not to love about mixing Disney magic with a tropical paradise?!?
Because Aulani holds a special place in my heart, my husband and I regularly arrive well before the
official check-in time of 3 or 4 PM. Occasionally, we've been greeted with a bit of pixie dust and discovered that our room was ready earlier than anticipated, but during other stays, we've needed to wait a bit for that magical text. Happily, there's no need to wait for your room before enjoying all of the amenities the resort has to offer!
Upon arrival, you can check your bags with
Bell Services, so I suggest having a separate bag of the day's poolside necessities ready to go. If you'd like to change, I recommend using the restrooms on the first floor across from the entrance to
Makahiki and
The 'Ōlelo Room. Then, you'll simply stop by one of the towel stations in the Waikolohe Valley pool area to collect your wristbands and towels before lounging
poolside, floating along
Waikolohe Stream, or saying 'Aloha' to your favorite characters.
If you'll be arriving early enough in the day, I suggest making a reservation for the character breakfast at Makahiki on the day you check in. My husband and I did this during our last visit, and it was such a fun (and
filling) way to kick off our stay at Aulani!
I hope this was helpful, Danielle, and that your time at Aulani is truly unforgettable. If you'd like any additional recommendations for your stay, don't hesitate to come see us again at
planDisney. We're happy to have you as part of our 'ohana!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
