if we arrive in Orlando early and haven’t had a chance to check into our resort hotel yet can we still participate in extra magic hours? Or do we have to be chicken in first?

Hello Nicole! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The best way to get a great start to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is to capitalize and make the most out of your first Disney day. My family often arrives earlier than is possible to Check-In to our Resort Hotels and always plan accordingly to visit a Theme Park or Disney Springs in lieu of waiting for a Resort Hotel Room to be ready for us.

When you plan your vacation through My Disney Experience, you will have the option to use the Resort Online Check-In Service up to 60 days in advance of your vacation. Once you do this and receive your MagicBands in the mail, you are free to experience a full day of Disney Magic, including Extra Magic Hours, on your Check-In date regardless of whether or not your resort Hotel Room is ready.

If you are using Disney's Magical Express, feel free to drop off any additional carry-on luggage at the Bell Services location of your Resort Hotel before jumping onto Resort Transportation for your first Theme Park visit.

If you leave your mobile number when you complete the Resort Online Check-In Service, you will be notified when your Resort Hotel Room is ready and can use your MagicBands to access your room upon your return from the Theme Park.

    Have a Magical Visit!
