We will arrive midday on 6/7. Since it will be too early to check into our resort (Port Orleans French Quarter), we are going to explore Downtown Disney first. Should we park at our resort and bus to DD or should we park at DD?

Hello Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

If it were me, I'd head to the resort first.  It is possible your room will be ready early, so I'd go ahead and check in.  If your room is ready, then you could go ahead and take your luggage to your room and unpack before heading to Downtown Disney.  If your room isn't ready, you can request a text message be sent to you when it is that way you know when you can head back.  I love visiting Downtown Disney on the first day, great choice!  It's a great place to grab a bite to eat (Earl of Sandwich) and stock up on some goodies, like autograph books, before heading to the parks.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.  Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
