We arrive at MCO at 12:05 and we're staying at the CBH. Do you think we have time to check in and make dinner reservations at Teppan Edo in for 3 pm. We're planning on attending Cirque de Soleil at 6 and originally had dinner booked at WGP at 4. Opinions?

Hi Sarah, You didn't say if you were going to have any checked luggage or if you are planning to rent a car or use Disney transportation; I'll try and answer this a couple different ways. I'm not familiar with the acronym CBH, so I'm going to assume you meant Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. I'm also going to assume below that your flight lands on time! Also, keep in mind that check-in time is 3:00 pm. However, if you're room in not ready, you can leave things with Bell Services at the resort.

If you are not checking luggage and you are renting a car on-site at the airport, as opposed to taking a bus to an off-site rental location, then based on my experiences, you can make it to Teppan Edo in Epcot by 3 pm. Likewise, If you are checking luggage, but you can have somebody in your party retrieve the luggage while you work on getting the rental car then I think you can make it in time.

If you are taking Disney transportation, either Disney's Magical Express (DME) from the airport to the Caribbean Beach or a Disney bus from the resort to Epcot, then I'm afraid my answer is "no". Based on my experience, you should plan on it taking at least two hours for DME to deliver you to your hotel after landing, especially if you decide to retrieve your own luggage first. Your exact time may be different than that, especially if you let DME retrieve your luggage and deliver it later (what most guests do) and your hotel is the first stop at WDW. However, two hours is what I use in my planning.

Once at WDW, if I plan on using Disney transportation, then I generally plan on it taking about 45 minutes to get to a theme park from a resort. The only exception in my planning is when I'm visiting the Magic Kingdom from a MK resort or when visiting Epcot from an Epcot resort.

There are a lot of great restaurants at Downtown Disney near Cirque de Soleil. Besides the Wolfgang Puck that you mention, my family also enjoys the House of Blues and Raglan Road.
