Hi Kathryn!
Walt Disney World will do everything it can to ensure all guests special needs are met while visiting. I don't believe they offer complimentary transportation to and from the hospital, but they will be happy to help you arrange a taxi to pick you up and bring you back to the resort each day. The hospital may also offer a special service, so you may want to check with them.
I also suggest visiting a few different places to help ensure you have a magical vacation and are able to get all of the assistance you need at Walt Disney World while your husband is on dialysis.
First, visit the
Guests with Disabilities page on the Walt Disney World website for access to resources you may need to ensure you have a seamless visit. Call 407-824-4321 to speak with someone in Guest Services about your needs.
Second, I found a great discussion forum from Walt Disney World guests who visited Walt Disney World while on dialysis. They may have some additional advice for you, regarding going to and from the hospital, getting around the parks, and bringing needed equipment. You can find that board at the ihatedialysis dot com website.
Third, I found an excellent e-book for guest with special needs while visiting Walt Disney World. Visit PassPorter for more information on this book.
I hope you have a magical vacation and I wish you and your husband the best.
Magically,
Stacy
