Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer!
Travel day for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is full of excitement and sometimes, quite frankly, unpredictable. So, I like to ease into it by visiting
Disney Springs,
Disney’s BoardWalk, or a Disney Resorts Collection hotel on Day One. But sometimes, I can’t deny that “The Magic Is Calling,” and I find myself visiting the theme parks right away.
One thing I love about Walt Disney World Resort is that many elements of a vacation are flexible. If you arrive later than expected and you’d rather visit somewhere besides your currently reserved theme park, I highly recommend that you head to your
My Disney Experience account to modify your chosen theme park. It is not uncommon for there to still be availability at some or all theme parks on the same day of your visit. Find "Theme Park Reservations,” then “Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations," and “Modify Reservation."
The modification would be necessary because even if you arrive after 2 p.m., all Guests must scan into their reserved theme park before park hopping. If you have a Walt Disney World Resort
annual pass, you can visit any theme park with availability after 2 p.m. with no theme park reservations needed at all (unless it’s
Magic Kingdom Park on the weekend).
I hope that you’ve found this information helpful, Jennifer. Your visit will be here before you know it, so give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any other questions.
I’m all ears! Magic always,
LeAndra
