It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen! When you're planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, one of the first and most important things you need to think about is your
admission. You have quite a few choices when it comes to tickets, including Park Hopper Option and
Annual Passes, so I'm happy to help you figure out what's right for you and your family.
At this time, there is not a partial-day ticket for
Magic Kingdom Park, so no matter what time of the day you want to enter you need to have at least a one-day ticket. If you plan to visit any other Theme Parks that day, then you will need to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets. When I'm planning out my vacation, I like to take a look at all the things I want to do in the amount of time that I have and that helps me determine what kind of tickets I want to get. We are usually in the Theme Parks from the time they open until the time they close, but sometimes my family needs a break and on days like those we won't buy tickets and we'll spend the day at
Disney Springs and enjoying our
Resort Hotel instead. I always like to check and see if there's a special event going on in the evening, like
Disney After Hours, and I'll plan a rest day for that day and instead of buying Theme Park tickets, I'll buy special event tickets instead! There are Disney After Hours events scheduled all the way through July of this year so that may also be a great option for your family if you're planning a late start to your day.
I hope this answers your question, Karen, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
