We arrive January 30th for our 1st WDW vacation! (family of 4 (1yr and 6yr) plus 2 grndparents). Arrive at cabins in FW around 5pm. Thought we'd start by seeing Spect. parade followed by Wishes in MK. Any suggestions on where to eat our first night(QSDP)?

The cabins are so cozy; I'm sure you'll have a great stay!  As for a first night restaurant, you'll want to choose something that is convenient to your resort and/or the Magic Kingdom.  If it were me, I think I'd opt for the Trail's End Restaurant (buffet) at Ft. Wilderness.  I lean this way for two reasons: 1. It provides easy access to the Magic Kingdom ferry once your meal is complete. 2. It's usually a fairly quiet place to grab a hearty meal, and after a day of travel, it might be just what you need to start your vacation off right!

Should you opt for something else, here are some nearby restaurants to consider:

    - Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge
    - Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom
    - Plaza Restaurant, also in the Magic Kingdom

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
