Hi, I will arrive to Florida February 8th, 2018, I will stayed outside of WDW resorts and I would like to get a character dinner with Mickey and friends. Which restaurant do you recommend outside of the parks?

    Hi Mayra!

Dining with the Disney characters is a highlight for any Walt Disney World vacation. Having Mickey or his friends stop by your table for pictures and autographs is truly special for the guests of all ages.

Disney offers Character Dining in the parks as well as the resorts. Because this is a unique experience these reservations often fill up as much as 180 days out. Since you will be arriving in just a couple of months you will need to see if there is anything available. Park dining is the most popular but the resorts will also fill.

Look through the list to see what characters will be at each location. Choose the ones that interest you and see if a reservation is possible. If not keep trying daily or almost everyday as sometimes something will open up.

My favorite spot to see Mickey and his best buds is Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort. If princesses are your interest then I suggest Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. That location is inside Epcot so you would have to buy a park ticket for that day. I also love the Cape May breakfast and the newest spot at Trattoria al Forno where Tangled fans love the character meet and greets.

I hope you are able to find something for your one day at Walt Disney World!
