Candace, hello and welcome to
planDisney!
I'm excited to know that you are interested in having dinner at
Disney Springs on the first night of your vacation. Disney Springs is actually my favorite place to spend the evening hours while at Walt Disney World. There are so many delicious places to choose from. Disney Springs is the shopping, dining and entertainment hub of Walt Disney World. When you know where you'd like to dine, you can just head over to that particular restaurant's webpage on the Walt Disney World website and make a dinner reservation from there. You can also call 407-WDW-DINE and have a Cast Member assist with your dining reservations.
If you are looking for a dining suggestion, my favorite spot right now is
The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. The restaurant is set right on the lake and provides the most stunning views as the sun sets. The menu is huge and offers something for even the pickiest of eaters. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. They are the best. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about this meal. Sometimes we will even splurge on a dessert and I must say, the key lime pie in a jar is outstanding. It's tart and light and everything you'd want in a fruity dessert. The BOATHOUSE really is a great place to eat.
As soon as you know where you'd like to eat, I'd go ahead and secure those dining reservations. You can actually make dining reservations 60 days in advance and things can fill up pretty quickly. If you aren't able to get a reservation for a spot, no worries. There are so many walk-up dining spots as well. You definitely won't go hungry over at Disney Springs.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please reach back out and
ask me.
Happy holidays!
