Hi Laira and welcome to planDisney!
I see your magical Walt Disney World vacation is coming up next week! How exciting! I love that you're planning on making the most out of your time while on vacation.
You absolutely can park your car at your
Disney Resort hotel and enjoy your day if your room is not ready when you arrive. If you have theme park tickets and
reservations for your arrival day, head on over and ride some attractions or grab a delicious snack. No park day planned? No problem! Pack a day bag (don't forget the sunscreen!) and enjoy some time at your hotel pool while you wait for your "room ready" text.
If your Disney Resort hotel is on the Skyliner route, take a loop and stop at the different Resort hotels along the way. We love to pop over to
Disney's Riviera Resort for the delicious banana bread and tomato soup. It's worth the trip! There are also some amazing photo opportunities there like the
gorgeous mosaics in the walkway.
You can also drive yourself or hop on a
Disney bus to spend some time at
Disney Springs. I love strolling around to do a little shopping or grab a bite to eat at one of the many amazing restaurants. Take a look to see if there are any
dining reservations that catch your eye to have a leisurely lunch when you arrive or pop in to
Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza for a quick bite to eat. Check out the cookies of the day at
Gideon's Bakehouse, although I skip the cookies there and go right for the giant cake slices.
There are so many fun things to do before you even step foot in your room! Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
