Barbara Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If I arrive at disneyworld for a 3 or 4 day stay and desiderata I want to stay longer, is there an option to add a day or 2 to my reservation without having to make a new, separate reservation?

I get it, Barbara. I say, "I don't always cry when I leave Walt Disney World Resort. Well, except that I do." And it's OK. It's wonderful to have things in your life so magical that you miss them when they are gone. I usually assuage this feeling by booking another Walt Disney World vacation — sometimes before I even pass the "See 'Ya Real Soon" sign at the exit.

I love that you are already planning your magic-extension strategy!

A Cast Member confirmed with me that you can extend your stay as long as the resort has openings. They can update your reservation to include the extra days. Hot dog! Just stop by the Front Desk at your resort or call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask a Cast Member if it's possible. They can help you out.

My other strategy to make the magic last includes souvenirs, like a t-shirt, purse, or (my absolute favorite) a theme-park-exclusive Pandora charm — things I can incorporate into my regular wardrobe and have reminders of trips I have taken.

Barbara, I hope you have a trip covered with Pixie Dust. And, if you can stay a little longer, an extra sprinkle! If you have any other questions, please come see us again at planDisney.
