Hi there, Jacklyn! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited for you. There is truly nothing like staying in the magic of a
Disneyland Resort Hotel!
I have wonderful news for you. The amenities of your hotel are open to you on the date of
check-in and check-out, so grab your swimsuits hit the pool! You are always welcome to store your bags with the Bell Desk on either day. Additionally, you can check in to your hotel digitally on the
Disneyland Mobile App or within your account on the
Disneyland website up to 5 days ahead of arrival, making for a contactless and seamless welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth. As part of the check-in process, you can indicate your arrival time, and you will actually receive a text message with your room number as soon as it's ready. While there are no guarantees of your room being ready ahead of the official 3 p.m. check-in, I have found that this has helped on a few occasions with my early arrival!
Guests are encouraged to download the Disneyland Mobile App before arrival with the notifications and location service enabled. Not only will this make your park day planning feel like a magic carpet ride with the new
Disney Genie Service, but it will open up some features to make your stay even more convenient and comfortable. If you are staying at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or the
Disneyland Hotel, within the app, you will find a "
Digital Key" that you can use to open your hotel room door as well as the "Charge to Room" feature. I love using the app to
Mobile Order meals and snacks throughout the Disneyland Resort, including hotels and select spots at
Downtown Disney District. Recently, I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and mobile ordered my morning coffee from
The Coffee House just as I woke up so it was ready and waiting for me on my way out to the parks!
If you are staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you will love the exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure Park just for hotel Guests! You are truly just steps away from the park and many of the rooms have views of some favorite attractions. At the Disneyland Hotel, you can immerse yourself in Disney nostalgia with its three towers themed to Adventure, Fantasy, and Frontier! Make sure to take a little time to explore the lobby where you will find some classic photos of Walt himself and Disneyland's earliest days ... and the teacup chairs at reception make for a great photo spot! The Paradise Pier Hotel has epic views of Disney California Adventure Park. The last time I walked into my room my jaw just hit the floor it was so magical! And nothing beats those sunrise views! While the pool at Paradise Pier is currently under construction, you can take a short ride over to the Disneyland Hotel via a golf cart to cool down!
Jacklyn, I sure hope you enjoy your visit! If any more questions pop up, you know where to find us at
planDisney!
Magic awaits!
