Ian from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Can I arrive at the Disneyland Hotel and park before that day's check-in? We plan on arriving for rope drop but did not know if we can park at the hotel and drop our luggage off that early before our check in time.

Greetings, Ian, and welcome to planDisney. I love that you'll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel – it's one of my favorite places! The hints of nostalgia with modern touches throughout, an amazing pool area, and convenient access to the Disneyland Monorail – there's so much to love!

Of course, your adventure will start with a cruise in your car to the parking area. The Disneyland Hotel offers self-parking for registered hotel Guests that is charged at a nightly rate. You could certainly arrive early in the day! Park your car, check in at the Front Desk, and store your luggage at the Bell Desk. You'll then be set to head towards the parks!

Just so you know, Early Entry will continue to be offered through January 4, 2026. If you are visiting before then, you can plan to take advantage of 30-minute early entry to a designated theme park, including the day you check in. If you stop by the Front Desk first, the Cast Member may give you a room key, even if it won't unlock your room until the afternoon. If you don't have your room key yet, you should be able to show a Cast Member the hotel confirmation on your phone for early entry admission. One thing to note – you'll want to make sure your theme park reservation matches the park that is opening early to hotel Guests.

Ian, since you'll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you'll have a chance to take part in activities exclusively for hotel Guests, such as complimentary movie nights and hotel tours – make sure you check with the Front Desk to ask about joining the Disneyland Hotel tour. Fitness classes can also be booked for an additional fee.

Did you know that you can also continue to use the pool area at the hotel on the day you depart, even after you've checked out? Just store your luggage with the Bell Desk, except for a bag that you'll keep with your swimsuits or a change of clothes. Your room key will work in the pool area until the end of the day! It's a nice way to pack in a little more magic before heading home.

The holiday season at the Disneyland Resort officially kicks off on November 14, 2025. There will be very merry decorations, themed treats, exclusive merchandise, and seasonal entertainment to enjoy. You will have a holly jolly time!

Ian, if you think of any other questions ahead of your trip, please let us know. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

    Wishing you magic,
    Kriss
