We arrive at Disney on Thanksgiving Day. We are having dinner that night at the Contemporary. I know you take the bus to Downtown Disney for travel between hotels. Is it be quicker to take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the Monorail to the hotel?

    Hi there Maureen,

Sounds like you have planned an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner at Walt Disney World!  I just love the Autumn decorations that grace the parks and the cool weather makes November such an enjoyable time to visit!

Since you're traveling to the Contemporary, your best bet is to be dropped off at the Magic Kingdom.  From here, you can follow the footpath towards the Contemporary for a relaxing walk below the monorail tracks. This is actually quicker than the monorail since the bus stop is a good walk from the monorail station!

If you do decide to hop aboard the monorail, you'll want to be sure to board the "Resort Monorail" and then disembark at the first stop which will be the Contemporary Resort!

    Best Wishes,
